A Sedgwick County judge has denied a bond reduction request by David Kendal.  Kendall is accused of sexually assaulting six inmates at the jail.

Kendall's argued to have his $500,000 bond reduced.

He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on August 2.

Sedgwick County detention deputy David Kendall made his first appearance in court Tuesday.  He's charged with sexually abusing six different victims between April 1st and June 3rd of this year.

The complaint lists consensual sodomy with three different inmates.  It also includes criminal solicitation to commit unlawful sexual relations with three other inmates.

Kendall was charged with 12 counts.  They include two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of unlawful sexual relations, three counts of sexual battery, four counts of criminal solicitation to commit unlawful sexual relations and one count of making a false writing.

The false writing has something to do with a sheriff's department log. But specifics have not been released.

Earlier this month, two inmates accused Kendall of raping them in their jail cell.  It's unclear at this time when the additional victims came forward.

Kendall is being held on a $500,000 bond.
