(ELK COUNTY, Kan.)—

Police in Elk County confiscate 4,000 marijuana plants growing in the rural part of the county.  Police say the plants were part of a grow operation in a heavily wooded area near the town of Howard.

Investigators had been watching the area since receiving a tip last year.

Along with the plants, the found camping equipment, drying tables, and an irrigation system.

This is one of several such raids in recent months.
