Four young children are removed from a Wichita home after a six-year-old child showed up to school with a bruise on her face.

The principal at Dodge Elementary called police asking the child what happened and determining it may be a case of child abuse.

Police spoke with the student and a sibling, then went to the home where they live.

Police say the officers deemed it necessary to take four children into protective custody.  The case is now in the hands of the Exploited and Missing Children's Unit.

The children include five- and six-year-old girls and four- and seven-year-old boys.

Police have not made any arrests.
