Update: Authorities in Harvey County have identified the suspects they believe are responsible for several burglaries in the southeastern part of the county.
Investigators with the sheriff's office say they plan to release more information soon.

The Harvey County Sheriff's Department is asking for help after burglars ransack several homes in the middle of the day. Five burglaries this week and it doesn't surprise Harvey County Undersheriff Todd Hanchett.
"This kind of thing usually happens just before Christmas. Same as last year, we got hit pretty hard," said Hanchett.
So far he says the burglars have shown up when no one's home and taken mostly jewelry and cash. At one house the alarm went off and they left without taking anything.
"Most of the time they don't want to be caught," Hanchett said. "They're not going to go into a house that's occupied. They're not forcing anything."
But Hanchett says burglaries always increase this time of the year. Which is why he's asking for your help.
"Right now the county's so big, even if we had 50 guys roaming around the county, we're going to miss stuff. We need calls from the citizens."
The Undersheriff says if you see an unusual vehicle, or someone you don't know and aren't expecting comes to your door, no matter the reason, call 9-1-1.
Some Harvey County residents are already keeping watch.
"It's your house, you don't want to have people breaking in and taking your stuff," said Matt Johnson.
Johnson saw a car he says didn't belong driving past his home.
"They come by four or five times and just thought it was a little odd," Johnson said. "And then, you know, we heard there was a burglary just down the road."
So, when Johnson saw Hanchett drive past, he called him over to share what he'd seen. That's just what Hanchett hopes the rest of the residents in Harvey County will do.
