Hutchinson police want to clarify what they call "misunderstandings" about suspicious activity around town.  A police captain posted on the department's Facebook page that officers did respond to a report of a person looking through a window earlier this month.  That suspect ran off and police have not found him.

Police say there has been other suspicious activity before and after this incident, but police don't believe they are connected.

The Facebook post reads: "Although, there have been isolated reports of suspicious activity, there is no indication at this time that supports the belief that one individual is prowling our streets, looking through windows and posing a threat to our community."

Hutch police say they take these cases seriously and ask anyone with information to contact them.
