It started at around 6:00 in the 2000 block of S. Topeka. Police tell us several people were in the house when an argument broke out between two people. At one point, the 30-year-old suspect pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot a 17-year-old. Police say he also pointed the gun at a 33-year-old woman.
The man then ran from the home and fired several shots into the air as he was leaving.
Then, around an hour or so later, police were called to the 2300 block of S. Washington. Police say the man who was arrested lives there with his 36-year-old girlfriend. When he got home, he wanted her to give him a cell phone, but they got into a fight because she didn't want him to have it.
Police say the man picked up a chainsaw that was in the room, started it and chased the woman into a bedroom. A ten-year-old boy was in the home at the time, as well.
No one was hurt. Police showed up and arrested him aggravated assault and domestic violence charges.
