Police say a man who threatened his wife and daughter with a gun is in the hospital. The 42-year-old man and his 29-year-old wife were arguing in a home in the 1000 block of N. Water.
At one point, police say the man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her and a 12-year-old girl, then threatened to shoot them.
The mother took the daughter out of the house and called 911.
When cops showed up, the man was still in the home. He came out of the home twice, but police didn't know if he was still armed. When he came out the third time, police deployed a Taser on him.
While using the Taser, the man fell off of the stairs, breaking his clavicle and a few ribs. He was taken to the hospital where he was admitted for treatment.
Police say the man will be arrested for aggravated assault when he's released from the hospital.
Officers checked his home, and found a loaded firearm right inside the front door - along with other weapons in the house.
No one else was hurt.
