A Wichita man is tied up and robbed after letting a stranger inside. It happened around Midnight Thursday in the 2500 block of W. 31st Street.
Wichita police say the victim answered a knock at his door. The man at the door, talking in Vietnamese, told him his car was broken into.
When the victim opened the door, the suspect forced his way into the apartment. He was armed with a large knife. Police say the intruder tied the victim up with zip ties. He stole credit cards and cash then took off.
After the suspect left the house, the victim was able to crawl outside and yell for help. A passerby found him and called 911. He was not seriously hurt.
The suspect is described as an Asian man, 30-40 years old, 5' 6", he was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a black mask.
Anyone with information about what happened is asked to contact police.
