A 16-year-old girl is arrested after police say she attacked a School Resource Officer at Wichita Southeast High School.
It happened Wednesday afternoon. Police tell us the student was in the process of being suspended from school and told to leave campus. As she walked through the halls, she yelled a stream of profanities.
When an SRO told her to stop. she shoved the officer and began to run. The officer caught up with her and she continued punching and kicking.
The SRO was eventually able to subdue her using a field tactic known as "pressure point control" - which is an alternative to hitting.
The girl was taken into custody and booked for batter of a law enforcement officer.
No word on why she was being suspended from school in the first place.
