(WICHITA, Kan.)—
Wichita police say a gang-related shooting that left two people hospitalized over the weekend is now a homicide.It happened in the 5100 block of E. Bayley early Sunday morning.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing shots, then seeing several people running down an alley. Emergency crews found a 23-year-old man, identified as Samuel Springsteen, with critical gunshot wounds laying in the street.
He was rushed to the hospital where police say he later died.
Thirteen hours later, a second victim went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg from the same incident.
Police have not made any arrests. They say the shooting stemmed from an unknown conflict at a small party.
