Jurors have found Christopher Logsdon guilty of first degree murder. After two days of deliberations, they determined he was responsible for the death of Jennifer Heckel.
After the verdict was read, Heckel's family cried and hugged one another. Logsdon turned to the family and yelled out, I did not do this along with other profanities. Security then rushed Logsdon out of the courtroom.
Jurors also found him guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, a firearm charge and intimidating a witness.
Heckel was shot and killed inside her Hutchinson home in June 2011. Her son was home when prosecutors say Logsdon and another man walked in and shot her.
Prosecutors say Heckel was not the intended target. They say Logsdon and Craig confused her for another woman who owed them drug money.
Craig was supposed to testify during the trial but refused. He was held in contempt of court.
Heckel's son testified he heard gun shots and after the men left he went to a neighbors house for help.
Logsdon will be sentenced December 21st.
