(WICHITA, Kan.)—
A Wichita woman called police over the weekend claiming someone broke into her apartment and fired a gun. She lives in the 8400 block of east Harry.When police arrived, the woman changed her story. She told police the real story was that her ex-boyfriend was playing with a gun in the apartment and accidentally fired a shot. The bullet went through the wall into the neighboring apartment and into a television.
Police arrested the woman for making a false report. They say she may have been trying to protect her ex-boyfriend who was wanted on outstanding warrants.
