2012 Wichita Walk Against Gang Violence (April 11, 2012) |
(WICHITA, Kan.)—
Thousands took part last year. Hundreds more are expected to march against gang violence again this year.The third annual Wichita Walk Against Gang Violence is this Saturday, April 14. Churches, non-profits, businesses and neighborhood organizations are taking part.
There's a new route this year. It begins at 17th and Wabash, heads east on 17th to Piatt, south on Piatt to 11th, west on 11th to Hydraulic, and then eventually goes north on Hydraulic to 15th Street.
There will be booths and activities at McAdams Park at 1329 E. 13th Street. The park opens at nine o'clock Saturday morning with the march starting at ten.
