A grand jury has indicted three men in connection to a large drug deal in Wichita.

Jorge Castro-Cisneros, 29, Hickory, N.C., Fabrizio Tovar-Rodriguez, 26, and Daniel Santiago-Bermudez, 37, both of Houston, are charged with one count to distribute methamphetamine.

Federal prosecutors said Castro-Cisneros talked to an undercover Wichita Police detective about a potential deal last October. Castro-Cisneros sent a text indicating the methamphetamine would cost $24,000 per pound.

The men were arrested after officers stopped a pickup in west Wichita Jan. 15. Authorities found a package containing three pounds of methamphetamine inside.

The defendants face a penalty of five to 40 years in prison and a fine up to $5 million if convicted.
