(WINFIELD, Kan.)—
Winfield police say they got a tip that a man staying in town with a friend was expecting a delivery of drugs. It was meth and it was coming via UPS.
Police went to UPS with a drug sniffing dog and found the package. Winfield's police chief says it was elaborately wrapped, a large package with smaller packages inside. They were wrapped in cellophane, foil and balloons. Police say they found $2,000 to $3,000 worth of meth inside.
Officers wrapped the package back up. It was then delivered. They say the suspect took off. Officers caught up to him and arrested.
