Goddard police find 82 bricks of marijuana worth around $115,000 during a traffic stop.  They say the drugs were supposed to be dropped off in Wichita to be sold.

Officers stopped an SUV on Kellogg near 183rd St. W. Just after 10:00 Sunday night. Investigators say the driver committed a traffic violation. Once it was stopped, police say they discovered the SUV had been reported stolen from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Inside the vehicle officers found what appeared to be four bricks of marijuana in a duffle bag in the back seat.  They were covered in dryer sheets to mask the smell. Police got a search warrant and found 78 more bricks hidden inside the SUV. Investigators say, all told, the marijuana weighed more than 188 pounds.

Officers took a 30-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man into custody. The pair are being held at the Sedgwick County Jail on drug-related charges.
