(WICHITA, Kan.)—
Police are crediting an alert citizen for helping to track down a suspected robber.
A robbery happened at Wal Mart at 29th and Rock Sunday morning. Police say a 39-year-old man demanded money from a cashier. He ended up taking the whole cash drawer and ran out.
A citizen who witnessed the crime ran outside and took down the guy's tag number and vehicle description.
That person gave the information to Wal Mart employees who then passed it on to police.
Police used the information to track down the man and arrest him. Police credit the witness for solving this case so quickly.
