Cloudy and cold today as another surge of chilly Canadian air moves into Kansas. This weak system will produce a mixture of light snow (flurries) and light rain across western Kansas and spotty light sprinkles elsewhere. A sprinkle or two will continue through the afternoon in some places. Extreme northwest Kansas may pick up a light dusting of snow too.
Decreasing clouds tonight with temperatures plummeting. Freeze and Hard Freeze Warnings are in place statewide as temperatures are expected to range from 27-30 degrees. Protect those tender plants to help them survive.
After some morning frost, the sun will shine, yet temperatures will remain chilly Sunday. More seasonable weather will return next week.
