Your kids may love to make cold drinks from a powdered mix, but how often have you had to clean up the mess left behind?
One local mom, Kim Hays, has found stains from the drink mix on her microwave, her stove, and even on her drawers. And that doesn't count all the times the sugar has spilled!
Kool-Aid Fun Fizz might be able to help. It's Kool-Aid in a tablet! Drop one tablet in a glass of water, wait for it to dissolve, and you have a glass ready to drink--or so it claims.
On top of that, it's supposed to be better for your waistline than regular Kool-Aid. Fun Fizz only has five calories a glass.
Three Garden Plain area girls agree to help us out. They drop in the first tablet and it immediately starts to fizz. Within just a few minutes, the tablet is gone, but a glass of "Gigglin' Grape" is ready to go.
Rachel admits it tastes a little different than regular Kool-Aid. It has a fizz to it, but other than that, she says it's just as sweet as the regular drink mix.
They get the same results for the Lemonade and Fruit Punch flavors. They give all three a thumbs up for taste. Bottom line: it's more fun than a regular glass of drink mix!
However, it's Mom and Dad who will have to pay the $2 for a packet of 8 Fun Fizz tablets. Our "tester Mom" says she probably wouldn't buy it every week, but could see getting it every once in a while. And she loves the fact that there won't be a cup of sugar spilled all over her cabinet.
