Kids, summer, and Popsicles.

It's hard to make that combination any better.   However, now Popsicle brand has come out with what it claims is a slower-melting version that not only lasts longer, but is less messy!

KFDI's Brian and Kellie headed to a Derby 2nd grade classroom to find out.   Each kid got two popsicles---one which was "regular", and the other which was "slow-melt" (and they didn't know which was which!)

Nearly every kid said the "slow-melt" lasted longer.  And the big kids, Kellie and Brian, agreed.

We did a test of our own, putting a plate  with each one  side by side in the sun.   The "slow-melt" had a thicker consistency when it did melt---which was later than the regular popsicle.

The company says the difference is what it lists as "ice structuring particles" in its ingredients.
