Changes are coming to your child's school lunch.

The changes come from upset parents, students and school officials.  They say kids aren't getting enough to eat under the Obama Administrations Health Hunger-Free Act. The act calls for healthier school lunches for students in public schools.  It took effect in August.

However, school officials are saying kids are throwing away most of their lunches that consist mostly of fruits and vegetables.

So now, schools are allowed to offer as much meat and grains as they want with its school lunches.  However, the lunches may not exceed calorie limits for students.

Those limits are 850 calories for high school students, 700 calories for 6th to 8th graders and 650 for students in kindergarteners to 5th graders.
