On Monday, the City of Wichita suspended the license of Wichita roofer Tin Lu.
The Board of Code Standards and Appeals voted to suspend the license of Lu who works under the name of America Midwest Construction.
South Wichita resident Catherine Harris is out more than $30,000 and the repairs to her home to fix Lu's work could cost much more.
Harris sued Lu and won, but she hasn’t seen any money.
She called FactFinder 12 Investigators earlier this year concerned that Lu still had a license.
Despite the lawsuit and another one filed by the city, our investigation found that Lu was still licensed to work on homes.
The city says it made a mistake and re-opened the case.
The city may permanently revoke Lu’s license at the end of one year if any open, active permits currently issued to him are not completed, inspected and approved by the city.
Lu must also settle all civil judgments awarded against him or his company.
