Many who drive through the construction at 21st and Maize street want it to be over, but one of our viewers wonders if that will ever happen.
"It's aggravating enough that our busiest intersection is down to one lane in the middle of summer, but even more frustrating to wait in a single traffic lane/long line only to see no one working," Joshua Hensley said in an email.
FactFinder 12 Investigators made a call after getting Joshua's email, and found construction is actually two months ahead of schedule.
Public works director Alan King says concrete cannot dry easily with temperatures this high. Because of this, road work is being completed during off hours.
The project is on pace to be completed the first week of October.
