Athletes Behaving Badly

Famous athletes have been caught behaving badly throughout the years. The claims against these athletes range from "wet willies" to assault and rape charges. The most recent incident involved the Lakers' Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest) elbowing the Thunder's James Harden during a dunk celebration. World Peace was ejected from the game, while Harden suffered a concussion and missed the rest of the game. You can view Metta World Peace's reaction to the ejection here.

In the start of his career, Metta World Peace was known as a wild guy, admitting to drinking Hennessy during half time with the Chicago Bulls. Later in his career, the infamous Pacers - Pistons brawl in November 2004 happened after (then named) Artest fouled Pistons center Ben Wallace leading to a shoving match into the stands. One of the fans threw a cup of Coke that hit Artest, leading him to jump into the stands erupting a brawl between fans, and players alike. The fight then moved back onto the court where Artest punched a Pistons fan. The game was stopped with one minute remaining, and as a result eight players received suspension for their acts. Artest was suspended for the rest of the season missing all together 86 games
