When Russ Berkman walked into his Seattle home recently, he saw scraps of paper on the floor that looked familiar: They were his tickets to Wednesday's practice round of the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
The rest of the tickets, Berkman quickly surmised, had been eaten by his dog Sierra. Berkman's life-long dream was to go to the Masters and here his tickets had been eaten by man's best friend. He had to act fast. And, as it turned out, he had to go where most people prefer not to.
Berkman relayed to KJR Sports Radio that after his girlfriend suggested it, he fed his dog hydrogen peroxide, which is a safe way to induce vomiting. (The dog apparently had eaten little else that day). He then pieced together the tickets before calling the Master's box office, who agreed to reprint them.
