HESPERIA, Calif. (KTLA) -- Residents in Hesperia are on the lookout once again for a mountain lion lurking around the neighborhood.
Kristen McKinnon and her fiancee David Kinzel say they spotted the animal in their backyard of their house on Sutter Street and Arrowhead Lake Road.
At first, they thought it was a bobcat at first, but after getting a closer look, they realized it was a mountain lion.
Hesperia Animal Control confirmed their suspicions.
The animal has been spotted in several backyards near the Hesperia Golf Course in recent weeks.
Officials believe this might be the same mountain lion that was captured in a family's garage earlier this year, but that could not immediately be confirmed.
That animal was tranquilized and released int he San Bernardino National Forest.
