LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- A man in a wheelchair was shot early Tuesday while waiting in line for the new "Call of Duty" video game in Koreatown.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. at the Game Stop located at Wilshire and Vermont.
Police say the victim, a man in his early 20s, was waiting in line to pick of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" video game.
He was involved in some sort of altercation with another person, which quickly turned serious.
The man in the wheelchair was shot in the stomach, but he was conscious and alert as he was wheeled to an ambulance on scene.
Police responded and immediately began searching for the gunman.
"The suspect fired multiple shots multiple shots, hitting the victim in the abdomen," said Lt. S. Hosea, of the LAPD's Olympic Division.
He said the suspect fled northbound on Chateau Place.
Because there were so many people in line, police believe there are witnesses who could help them catch the gunman.
