HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) -- A man in his 20s was arrested in the Hollywood Hills Thursday night for allegedly pointing a laser at airplanes.
Police received a call from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank around 11 p.m. reporting that flights were being hit by a laser in the Cahuenga Pass, possibly near Universal CityWalk.
KTLA's own Sky5 was also hit with the bright green beam.
When a sheriff's helicopter arrived overhead, the suspect flashed the laser at the chopper.
Officials were able to determine that the beam was coming from a rented house in the 3400 block of Bonnie Hill Drive, and the suspect was arrested.
His name has not been released, but authorities say he is not a California resident.
He is charged with interfering with federal air travel.
