David Kendall, the former Sedgwick County jail deputy accused of sex crimes against inmates was released on bond Friday.
His attorney Charlie O'Hara says the $500,000 bond was posted Thursday evening. However Kendall wasn't released until Friday from the Saline County jail.
Now that he's out on bond, Kendall will have to check in with pre-trial services. He's required to wear a GPS monitoring system and he's not allowed to leave the county.
Thursday, a judge adjusted Kendall's bond. He kept it at $500,000 but allowed him to use up to $350,000 in personal surety and $150,000 with a bondsman.
Kendall is charged with sexually abusing six different victims between April 1 and June 3 of this year. The complaint lists consensual sodomy with three different inmates. It also includes criminal solicitation to commit unlawful sexual relations with three other inmates.
A preliminary hearing is schedule for next month.
