Storm Team 12: Windy, a few showers tonight

Gusty south winds will continue today resulting in a very high grassland fire danger.  Winds of 20-30 m.p.h. with higher gusts can be expected in central and eastern Kansas.  The good news, those southerly winds will transport some moisture into the state which will team up with a weak weather system working in from Colorado.  This may lead to isolated showers and even a clap or two of thunder in central and eastern Kansas by early evening into the overnight hours.  Highs will reach the 60s statewide.
