Today we can expect another round of higher level clouds and colder temperatures behind a cold front that passed through Kansas last night. Temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s. North winds should be fairly light.  Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies tonight and cold.  Lows in the teens.

Clouds will be increasing on Christmas Eve day ahead of a storm system that will bring light snow to the area beginning Monday night. A major winter storm is NOT likely for the area, but light snow and flurries are expected on Christmas with the best chance for accumulations in the west. Accumulations in the west are likely to be on the lighter side (less than 3 inches) and significant blowing and drifting is also not likely to be a huge problem.  The bigger story Christmas Day will be the bitter cold and wind chills in the single digits to near zero!
