The very cold Canadian air-mass that's been hanging around our region over the past few days is about to push away from the Plains allowing a slow but steady warming trend to take us to midweek and beyond.
Monday, look for mostly sunny skies across except for parts of the west. It will be a cold start to our week with afternoon highs ranging from the upper-20s for most of western Kansas to the lower-30s for central and south-central parts of our state. Winds will once again be rather light.
A few flurries/snow showers will fly over northwestern Kansas Monday evening but only trace amounts are expected.
Most of Kansas will rebound into the mid to upper-30s for highs Tuesday afternoon under a mostly sunny sky.
Our area should see afternoon highs in the upper-40s to near 50 by midweek and even warmer temps by week's end.
Dry weather is expected for the next 10-14 days around the central US.
