Early morning temperatures dipped down into the teens for many Monday with some single-digits found near the Nebraska state line under mostly clear skies.

Martin Luther King Day will bring us a mostly sunny sky with much colder temperatures over central and eastern Kansas where highs will only reach the mid-30s by afternoon. Western Kansas will be a bit warmer with highs expected to top out the mid-40s with a southerly wind at less than 20 mph through the afternoon.

Tuesday still looks pretty chilly with highs in the 30s over eastern Kansas but lower to mid 50s out west.

Milder air will return Wednesday for everyone as highs top out around 55 degrees but another shot of cold air move back into our area Thursday and Friday along with gusty winds.

More dry weather is on the way through the next 7 to 10 days.
