Expect a different weather world this afternoon as chilly temps and a fresh stiff northerly breeze prevail.  Highs this afternoon will only be in the 30s for most of the state under a mostly cloudy sky. Expect northeast winds to diminish a bit later in the day.

Temperatures will warm back-up as we head into our weekend and an approaching storm system will even bring a chance for light rain or sprinkles Saturday night and into early Sunday. Right now no snow or ice are expected anywhere in Kansas this weekend.

More mild temps are on the way Monday with a better bet to get wet arriving Tuesday.
