This afternoon's highs will only climb into the mid-30s to around 40 degrees under a mostly cloudy sky. A light dusting of snow will be possible in a few areas but heavy amounts are not expected. The snow will end Friday evening followed by a warming trend this weekend.

Temps will climb back into the mid-40s east and into mid-50s for western Kansas Saturday then soar to around 60 Sunday along with gusty southerly winds statewide.

Monday will bring a fast moving front back into our region sparking scattered showers/storms over eastern Kansas late in the day.
