Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport officially measured 14.2 inches of snow Thursday, making it the second highest snowstorm total ever for the city.
Despite quieter weather today, travel conditions will still be poor in the aftermath of Thursday's widespread, heavy snowfall. This afternoon will bring a mix of sun and clouds but deep snow cover will really hinder any warm-up as highs struggle to reach the mid-20s to around 30 degrees. Friday night will be frigid once again as lows tumble into the single digits to near 10 degrees statewide.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and a bit warmer with highs in the mid-30s to around 40 degrees.
Another, albeit weaker, storm system will make it's way across our state Sunday night into early Monday morning bringing the potential for more much needed moisture.
