Stubborn clouds in the east will be around for rest of the afternoon, along with a few flurries here and there over eastern Kansas. Highs will reach the 30s east but lower to middle 40s, especially in the west. It will be a little breezy at times so the forecast has some of the qualities of a lion, but a little bit lamb too thanks to the quietness.
A weekend warm up will ensue as more sunshine works in. 40s and 50s are expected both days, with the warmest temperatures in the west.
A weather system will bring more wind to the region Sunday and Monday, followed by a brief cool down on Tuesday.
