The potent winter storm that brought around 4-8 inches of snow to northwest and northcentral Kansas is weakening tonight over southeast Nebraska.  Some light snow and flurries will be possible this evening over parts of northcentral and northeast Kansas but no additional accumulation is forecast.  As the weather system invades Missouri tonight, we expect the clouds to break over western Kansas while remaining a bit stubborn in the east.  Overnight lows will fall to the teens in the northwest, especially where there is new snow on the ground, with 20s elsewhere.

Sunshine will return for the state tomorrow.  You'll see highs in the 30s where the thickest snowpack resides, with 40s elsewhere.

Milder readings are on the way for Monday before the next weather system arrives on Tuesday.  It will bring a chance of some light rain and snow to the state.  While the next system doesn't look a strong as its predecessor, we'll continue to monitor it closely over the next few days.
