Much of Kansas will have a cold start to the day on Tuesday, but a warming trend is about to kick in for the middle of the week.

Skies will be generally clear with light winds throughout the state. Lows in the teens will be common in northern Kansas, with low 20s expected elsewhere.

Sunshine will be abundant on Tuesday with highs near 60 in the northwest, mid 50s in the southwest, and low 50s in the Wichita area. South winds will be back and could be rather gusty in western Kansas during the afternoon.

Mild temperatures will be staying around through the end of the week, and still no indication of rain or snow for the area.
