Storm Team 12: Rain arrives in Kansas
A storm system moving northward out of Texas and Oklahoma has brought some light rainfall to Kansas. The rain will continue off and on tonight into Thursday. Rainfall amounts are expected to be in the 1/4" to 1/2" range over southern, central and eastern Kansas. Western sections of the state are only looking at 1/4" or less. Temperatures overnight in western Kansas will be near freezing which could create a period of freezing rain. A Freezing Rain Advisory will be in effect from midnight to noon CST for most of northwest Kansas. After the rain ends on Friday, mostly cloudy skies will stay with us.
