A fast moving storm system will bring rain showers to the area overnight and early Sunday, but amounts will be very light.

Temperatures will be above freezing statewide, so ice and snow should not be a problem anywhere in Kansas. Southeast winds will be gusty through the night.

Morning clouds will depart for afternoon sunshine and temperatures will be near record highs Sunday afternoon. The record high for Wichita on Sunday is 69. Temperatures will be close to 70 for much of central and southern Kansas with breezy south winds.

Monday will see near record highs again with temperatures near 70. The record high for Wichita on Monday is 72. South winds will be rather strong Monday afternoon and the fire danger will be elevated due to the dry conditions and windy weather.

Temperatures will be cooling down heading into Tuesday and Wednesday.
