A fast moving storm system will slide through our area Monday, changing the winds back to the north and cooling temperatures off for a few days.
Overnight, skies will be mostly cloudy, but no precipitation is expected. Lows will stay above freezing for much of the state, with low to mid 30s expected.
Monday will be mostly cloudy behind a cold front that will move through early in the day. North winds will be gusty, especially for the afternoon. A few sprinkles should be expected for central and northern Kansas, with a few flurries possibly mixing in for northwest Kansas Monday evening. Highs will be in the mid 40s west, to around 50 near Wichita.
Tuesday will be chilly with gusty northwest winds and sunshine. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s.
Warmer weather is expected for mid to late week with highs in the 60s, and even a few 70s possible in the southwest.
