(SUMNER COUNTY, Kan)—
A 53-year-old man from Sand Springs Oklahoma died on the Kansas Turnpike Monday night. Eugene Ewing III was driving a semi-truck carrying petroleum fuel when it over-turned.
The truck was headed northbound on I-35 from Highway 166. The Kansas Turnpike Authority says Ewing may have taken a corner too fast. He died at the scene.
The left lane at approximately mile marker 4 was closed while authorities investigated the crash. None of the load he was transporting was compromised.
