Sedgwick County officials have identified the woman struck and killed near 55th Street S. and 167th Street West last week.
A vehicle struck 52-year-old Patrice Ritchie just before 9:30 pm Wednesday night. Authorities say Ritchie was one of two people walking their dog. The driver apparently didn't see them in time and struck her and the dog. Both were killed.
Lt. Cole with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says the incident remains under investigation and there's no word on whether charges will be filed against the driver.
