(WICHITA, Kan.)—
Gas prices are falling again in Wichita.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded is $3.29 per gallon around the city. Prices spiked for two weeks, reaching $3.45 a gallon briefly.
The drop continues what had been a steady price decline since April. it's in contrast to predictions from January, when gas prices were at their highest ever for the start of the year.
Experts say prices could stop falling if there's a disruption in supply. Hurricane season started June 1 and goes until November 30. If refineries in the Gulf of Mexico are taken offline, that could send prices back up.
