Wichita will be at the center of the nation's bowling world once again. The United States Bowling Congress awarded the 100th women's Championships to Wichita.

You'll have to wait 6 years for the tournament though. The USBC Women's Championships will be from April to June 2019. It's expected to bring more than 30,000 bowlers to the Air Capital, and generate $14-million dollars in revenue for south-central Kansas.

"Our bid focused on our central lovation, our great bowling community and Wichita's wonderful hospitality," said Mayor Carl Brewer. "We've already heard from several bowler who were here in 2004 who can't wait to come back to Wichita."

The competition will be at Northrock Lanes and Thunderbird Bowl. Both were used last time Wichita hosted the 2004 WIBC Championships.

"I believe that our success is hosting previous USBC events proves that the 2019 Women's Championships will be a great experience for the visiting bowlers," said Bob Hanson, Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission President and CEO.
