An elderly woman was driving at South Dam Road and Tuttle Creek Blvd. when another car slammed into the right side of her mini-van. That's when the second car caught fire.

Kansas Highway Patrol says 88-year-old Betty Clark was airlifted to a Topeka hospital here she died.

The collision happened just after 8:00 Saturday evening.

The driver of the second car is from Colorado. Officers couldn't get his insurance papers because the whole car was destroyed by fire, and they were in the glove box. He was not hurt in the wreck.

At this time we don't know what caused the crash.
