N. Kessler house fire (Scott McMullen/Eyewitness News / December 13, 2012) |
(WICHITA, Kan)—
Wichita fire crews put out a fire in 600 block of N. Kessler. Crews were called to the scene just before 11:00 Thursday morning.
The fire started on the deck of the home and spread to the back side of the house.
Damage is estimated at around $50,000.
Three people live in the house. They were not hurt and the American Red Cross was called in to help them.
A dachshund that was in the house suffered smoke inhalation and firefighters were unable to resuscitate it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
