A Wichita man remains hospitalized after he was struck by his own truck in Harvey County.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at I-135 and First St. just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The sheriff's department said a 26-year-old man got out of his pickup to inspect damage after he slid into a guardrail. He was hit by his own truck after a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man slid into the parked pickup.
The 26-year-old man was rushed to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. The driver of the second pickup was taken to a nearby hospital, then later transferred to Wichita for treatment. A passenger also received minor injuries in the crash. An update on their condition is not known at this time.
No names have been released. The accident remains under investigation.
