After being closed for a week, Kansas tag offices and DMVs reopened Wednesday to long lines and crowds.
DMV officials say they were expecting the long lines. The offices were closed for a week while a new computer system was installed. Officials say the new system will make things more efficient. But for the people waiting, the way things were going was anything but efficient.
"I pulled up and was like, this is going to be a fun and exciting event," said one person waiting.
People were reading, texting and doing crossword puzzles to pass the time while they tried to stay patient. Some said they were waiting for hours and hours.
